Executive Assistant to the CEO

Starting Salary: $50,000-60,000 per year
Location: Fully remote, with an office in DC
Expected Start Date: June or Early July 2024

JOB DESCRIPTION

Drive Agency is looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to support our CEO and Founder. The ideal candidate is one who is an eager, proactive team member, adept at balancing internal and external stakeholder relationships, has impeccable attention to detail, expert organizational skills and the ability to foresee challenges and devise solutions.

Direct experience supporting and managing the calendars and priorities of senior management and C-suite level executives is required. Candidates who are interested in business development, proposal writing, and project management are encouraged to apply as opportunities in these avenues are available for this role’s future growth. This role requires expert usage of multiple platforms, such as Slack, WhatsApp, Google Suite and Microsoft Office. Experience using social media platforms in a work capacity – including any social listening tools – is also helpful but not a requirement.

This position is part- time, Monday through Thursday for 40 hours a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Calendar Management: Manage the CEOs calendar effectively, scheduling meetings, appointments, and events while prioritizing conflicting demands. Deep collaboration with internal team members and external partners and vendors will be habitual.
  • Communication Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications, screening and directing inquiries appropriately. Strong written communication skills required.
  • Global Travel Coordination & Expense Management: Arrange flexible travel itineraries, accommodations, and logistics for the CEO’s domestic and international trips, ensuring smooth and efficient travel experiences. Keep meticulous records of all travel expenses incurred.
  • Meeting Support: Prepare agendas, materials, and presentations for meetings, ensuring the CEO is well-prepared and informed. Attend meetings, take notes and manage follow-up actions.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in planning and executing special internal and external events, conferences, and fundraising activities, including logistical arrangements and coordination of staff/contractors.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information and communications.
  • Ad Hoc Duties: Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the CEO and other senior staff, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 3-5 years of executive assistant experience
  • Comfortable with Google Suite
  • Language skills outside of English are a plus
  • Experience or interest in project management or business development is a plus
  • Commitment to work that encourages voting, civic participation, justice or political activism

Digital Research Analyst

Starting Salary: $45,000-50,000 per year
Location: Fully remote, with an office in DC
Expected Start Date: March/April 2024

JOB DESCRIPTION

Drive Agency is looking for a Digital Research Analyst to join our Center on Digital Influence, where they will help conduct social listening research to identify online narratives – including mis/disinformation – as part of our teams’ work to help campaigns and progressive organizations navigate online threats and run adaptive, modern, and impactful communications.

The ideal candidate is a digital native who is politically engaged and looking for a way to learn and use research and critical thinking skills to support progressive goals. This candidate will also ideally have experience working or volunteering on political campaigns, in campaign advocacy, or in community organizing, and is interested in exploring how traditional and social media impacts politics and voters.

Direct experience with issues related to disinformation, extremism, or election interference is a plus, but candidates who are interested in these topics are also encouraged to apply. Experience using social media platforms in a work capacity – including any social listening tools – is also helpful but not a requirement.

This person will spend the bulk of their time conducting social listening research, including by taking responsibility for regular reports. They may also be asked to conduct research in response to breaking new events and rapid response requests on top of their weekly deliverables.

This position is project-based through the November 2024 election.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducting social listening research and drafting written summary memos
  • Ownership over a set of regular reports, staying organized to ensure reports are completed on time and according to quality standards
  • Able to also pivot as needed and produce quick, same-day reports when news and client needs require
  • Staying attuned to current events and news related to US elections and politics
  • Able to work after hours on occasion, particularly in response to breaking news events and rapid response requests from clients and partners
  • Provide other support for senior staff and clients on an as-needed basis

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 1-2 years of professional experience, including some experience in politics, advocacy and/or organizing
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to stay organized and juggle requests under tight deadlines
  • Comfortable with Google Suite
  • Understanding of the US political and social media landscapes, trends, and current events
  • Experience with social media in a professional capacity is a plus
  • Language skills outside of English are a plus
  • Experience or interest in supporting constituencies most harmed by online mis/disinformation, including communities of color, immigrant communities, and LGBTQ+ groups is a plus
  • Commitment to work that encourages voting, civic participation, or political activism
